Chow Bhajia

Chow Bhajia

Try this scrumptious and savoury delight, and surprise the family with a flamboyant noodle recipe! That's right, this BHAJIA is made with CHOW NOODLES.

 

What you need:

  • Chow 85 Instant Noodles  (Your choice of flavour, but we recommend Tomato)
  • 2 Medium Onions - Finely chopped
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 5-6 Tablespoon Pea Besan
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely Chopped Coriander  leaves (Dhania)
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • Boiling Water
  • Salt to Taste

What to do with the CHOW NOODLES:

  1. Heat water in a pot on a medium high flame
  2. When water starts to heat up and you can see little bubbles popping up, add the Chow Noodles
  3. Cook the Chow Noodles for 2 minutes and drain them and leave in a bowl to cool down
  4. Noodles must be as dry as possible
  5.  

Now to Fry the Bhajia:

  1. Heat enough oil for deep frying in a wok or solid bottomed, deep pot.
  2. In a clean bowl, add Pea Besan, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin, Tumeric, Baking powder, chopped onions, salt and coriander leaves
  3. Mix together well to form a thick batter
  4. Add Chow Tomato flavour to Boiled noodles, add this to your batter and mix again thoroughly
  5. Form Bhajia balls from the batter
  6. Deep fry them, a few at a time, over a medium high heat till golden brown
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve while hot with tomato sauce or your choice of chutney
